SSP to Stage Ann-Marie MacDonald's Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)

Image of play poster. πŸ“… Date: July 11-13 and 18-20, 2024
πŸ•™ Time: 7PM
πŸ“ Location: Elko High School Performing Arts Center

Scholar and tweedy academic Constance Ledbelly is working on her doctoral thesis. She theorizes Othello and Romeo and Juliet were written not by Shakespeare but rather by an unknown author. What if Desdemona and Juliet were meant to live? What if they were comedies and not the commonly accepted tragedies?

Her longtime, unrequited love Professor Claude Night rebukes her dissertation, tells her he’s taken an Oxford position that she has her heart set on, and announces he's marrying her rival. All in the same meeting!

Join the Silver Stage Players for Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), by Ann-Marie MacDonald, July 11-13 and 18-20, at the Elko High School Performing Arts Center. All performances begin at 7PM for this riotous and rowdy retelling of Shakespeare's legendary texts directed by Katie Ashley and Erika Patrick. Come see Constance transform from wallflower to a new and confident self. Tickets are General Admission and cost $15. The show does contain adult language and situations.
